The President of India
Article 52 of the Constitution says that there shall be a President of India.
Position of the President
- The Constitution confers the highest honour, dignity and prestige on the President. Along with the two Houses of Parliament, the President is an integral part of the Parliament.
- He is the Head of the State.
- All executive power of the Union is vested in him and is to be exercised by him either directly or through officers subordinated to him by the Constitution (Article 53(1)).
