India’s Fourth Nuclear Submarine Launched
On 16th October 2024, India launched its fourth nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN), S4*, at the Ship Building Centre in Visakhapatnam, marking another milestone in its naval capabilities.
- The submarine, an advanced version of the earlier INS Arihant, further strengthens India's nuclear deterrence strategy.
