National Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy 2016

The National Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy approved on May 12, 2016 laid the future road map for IPRs in India. The policy is titled as “Creative India; Innovative India”.

The Policy recognizes the abundance of creative and innovative energies that flow in India, and the need to tap into and channelize these energies towards a better and brighter future for all.The National IPR Policy is a vision document that encompasses and brings to a single platform all IPRs.

This has led to the following achievements:

  • Strengthening of Institutional Mechanism: The administration of Copyright Act, 1957 and Semiconductor Integrated Circuits Layout-Design Act, 2000 ....
