RudraM-II Missile
On 29th May, 2024, the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully flight-tested the RudraM-II air-to-surface missile from the Su-30 MK-I platform of the Indian Air Force (IAF) off the coast of Odisha.
- The test validated the missile’s propulsion system and control & guidance algorithm.
- Flight data was captured by range tracking instruments, including electro-optical systems, radar, and telemetry stations deployed by the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur.
- The RudraM-II is an indigenously developed solid-propelled air-launched missile designed for an air-to-surface role.
- The missile system incorporates numerous state-of-the-art indigenous technologies developed by various DRDO laboratories.
