Golconda Fort: An Impenetrable Fortress
- Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah is considered to be the pioneer and patron of Telugu literature along with Deccani literature. He founded Hyderabad and construtedCharminar.
- A special type of dance-drama was supported by Abul Hasan Tahsaan, a ruler of Hyderabad, which later gained popularity as Kuchipudi dance.
- The Koh-i-Noor diamond was discovered in Kolar, situated on the banks of the Krishna river, during the reign of Sultan Abdullah Qutb Shah.
- The pond located in the fort is called 'Katora House' which is 200 yards long, 200 yards wide and 5 yards deep. It was used for boating.
