Significance
- Formulate an Appropriate Eurasian Strategy: India's interests in the region stem from its objectives to work with the Central Asian Republics (CARs) in sustainable nation-building through development partnerships, uphold their sovereignty, prevent the area from becoming a hotspot for terrorism and extremism, and maintain Central Asia's role as a bridge between Asia and Europe for establishing trade, transport, connectivity, and economic linkages. It is also in India's best interests for this area to not develop into a geopolitical chessboard of intense rivalries.
