Australia’s Roadmap for Boosting Trade Ties with India
On 26th February 2025, Australia unveiled an ambitious roadmap to deepen and diversify trade and investment ties with India, focusing on clean energy, education, agribusiness, and tourism.
Key Pillars of the Roadmap
- Four Superhighways of Growth: The roadmap prioritizes clean energy, education and skills, agribusiness, and tourism as the four key areas of focus.
- Investment and Business Collaboration: Australia will invest USD 16 million in the Australia-India Trade and Investment Accelerator Fund to boost commercial opportunities.
- Expanding Economic Engagement: Nearly 50 specific opportunities have been identified to accelerate cooperation in defence, sports, culture, space, and technology.
