Articles 256 to 263 in Part XI of the Constitution deal with the legislative relations between the Centre and the State.
The Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2019 was introduced in Rajya Sabha on February 6, 2019 to strengthen Northeast Autonomous Councils by amending Article 280 (Finance Commission) and sixth schedule of the Constitution to increase the financial and executive powers of the 10 autonomous councils in the Sixth Schedule areas of the northeast i.e. Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram.
