Ayushman Bharat Completes One Year of its Launch
Recently, Arogya Manthan event was organised by the National Health Authority (implementing authority of the scheme), to mark the completion of one year of Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY. Prime Minister had launched the scheme on 23 September 2018 from Ranchi in Jharkhand.
- Ayushman Bharat Scheme aims to reduce the financial burden on poor and vulnerable groups arising out of catastrophic hospital episodes and ensure their access to quality health services. It also seeks to accelerate India’s progress towards achievement of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and Sustainable Development Goal - 3 (SDG3).
