‘Devaranya’: An Ayush-based Economic Upgradation Scheme
- The Govt. of Madhya Pradesh has prepared the Ayush-based economic upgradation scheme – DevaranyaYojana with the twin objectives of improving people’s health and livelihood of tribals.
- Under the scheme, more AYUSH-based activities will be taken up to increase employment and livelihood opportunities in tribal dominated areas. Under this, the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants, industries based on them, drug manufacturing, storage, processing, marketing, promotion of rural and health tourism in tribal areas, empowerment of self-help groups, establishment of nurseries etc. will be undertaken.
- This scheme will be run by the Department of AYUSH in collaboration with Union Ministry of Rural Development, ....
