NTPC REL’s New Green Initiatives
Recently, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL) - a 100 per cent subsidiary of NTPC – got approval to set up the country’s first Green Hydrogen Mobility Project in Ladakh and establish India’s largest solar park at Rann of Kutch in Khavada, Gujarat.
The Projects: Key Points
- The solar park will have a capacity of 4,750-megawatt (MW). The project has been approved under Mode 8 (Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park) of the Solar Park Scheme.
- It will produce green hydrogen on a commercial scale from the solar park.
