‘Centre of Excellence’ to be Set up in Arunachal Pradesh
Recently, the Ministry of Science & Technology announced that it will set up a first-of-its-kind ‘Centre of Excellence’ at Kimin, in Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh.
- The project for establishing ‘Centre for Bio-Resources and Sustainable Development as a Centre of Excellence’ has been sanctioned by the Department of Biotechnology.
- In order to be able to utilise latest technology for infrastructural development and value addition, it is important that the North Eastern Region should have its own Technology Resource Centres. The proposed Centre of Excellence aims to address this objective.
