Bio-fuels
The Government in June 2019 has allowed the direct sale of biodiesel (B100) for blending with high speed diesel to all consumers in accordance with the specified blending limits and the standards specified by the Bureau of Indian Standards, with effect from 29th June, 2017.
- This step is in line with the National Policy on Biofuels-2018 which envisages an indicative target of 20% blending of ethanol in petrol and 5% blending of bio-diesel in diesel by 2030.
