UP transferred 17 OBCs to SC Category
The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to issue Scheduled Castes (SC) certificate to 17 OBC communities based on the 2017 order of Allahabad High Court that directed to issue caste certificates “after examination and based on documents in accordance with the rules”.
- These 17 OBC communities are Kashyap, Rajbhar, Dhivar, Bind, Kumhar, Kahar, Kewat, Nishad, Bhar, Mallah, Prajapati, Dhimar, Batham, Turha, Godia, Manjhi and Machua.
