India Water Resources Information System
- On 6th August, 2020, the Jal Shakti Ministry launched a new version of the India Water Resources Information System (India-WRIS) with new functionalities and features.
- The first version of India-WRIS was launched in July, 2019 under the National Hydrology Project.
Key Features
- The portal contains information related to Water Resources through dashboards for rainfall, water levels & discharge of rivers, water bodies, ground water levels, reservoir storages, evapotranspiration and soil moisture
- It also contains modules on water resources projects, water bodies, hydro-met data availability and tools for GIS layer editing.
- It includes time series data obtained through manual readings as well as telemetry ....
