India Child Well-being Index Released

The India child well-being report has been released on 27th August 2019, by World Vision India, one of the largest Child-focused NGO and IFMR LEAD, a research organisation based in India.

About the Index

  • It is a multi dimensional approach towards measuring Child Well Being going beyond mere income and uses 24 indicators divided into three categories: Healthy individual development, positive relationships and protective contexts.

Key Findings of the Report

  1. Kerala (0.76), Tamil Nadu (0.67) and Himachal Pradesh (0.67) bagged the top three spots in the index.
  2. Among the union territories, Puducherry (0.77) is at the top while Dadra and Nagar ....
