First Himalayan Film Festival held at Leh
- The first-ever Himalayan Film Festival was held at Leh.
- During the five-day festival, 12 Himalayan States and Union Territories screened films at Leh’s SindhuSanskriti Kendra.
Turtuk Festival
- The North Zone Cultural Center, a unit of Ministry of Culture in collaboration with The Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh&Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council organized 'Turtuk Festival' from 22- 25 September, 2021to observe a Golden Jubilee to mark 50th Anniversary of Chorbat Liberation.
- During the 1971 war, Indian Army liberated Turtuk, Chulunkha, Garadi, Tyakshi and Thang villages in Ladakh region.
