National Steering Committee for the Development of National Curriculum Frameworks
On 21st September, 2021, the Ministry of Education formed the National Steering Committee for the development of National Curriculum Frameworks on 21-9-2021, headed by National Education Policy-2020 (NEP-2020) drafting committee chairperson K Kasturirangan.
- The last NCF was designed in 2005. The NCFs will be essential for the implementation of the NEP in school education.

- It will develop four NCFs for school education, early childhood care and education, teacher education and adult education, keeping in focus all the recommendations of NEP-2020 related to these four areas for proposing curriculum reforms.
