Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman scheme
On 30th September, 2021, the Centre launched the Prime Minister PO shanSHAktiN irman Scheme PM-POSHAN) for providing one cooked hot meal in government and government-aided schools for a period of five years (2021-22 to 2025-26).
The scheme will replace the existing national programme for mid-day meal in schools or Mid-day Meal Scheme.
