HSTDV: Indigenous Hypersonic Technology
- The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully flight tested the Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV) – an unmanned scramjet vehicle with a capability to travel at six times the speed of sound.
- The test has showed that the scramjet-powered HSTDV sustained a speed of Mach 6 during the course of its 22second flight at an altitude of 30 km.
