- India’s legal system is burdened by 3.5 crore pending cases.
- Distribution of Pending Cases among different levels of Courts in India: Supreme Court (0.16%), High courts (12.3%) and District and Subordinate (D&S) Courts (87.54%).
- More than 64 per cent of all cases in D&S courts are pending for more than one year.
