India Hosts First SCO Military Medicine Conference
On 12 September 2019 India hosted the first ever Shanghai Cooperation Organisation military cooperation event which was addressed by Indian Defence Minister. The conference was attended by 27 international and 40 Indian delegates and was skipped by Pakistan.
- India underlined the threat posed by bio-terrorism and the related technologies in the battlefield which throw new challenges for the armed forces and also highlighted that the medical services of the armed forces are uniquely placed to tackle some of them.
