International Summit on Women in STEM
- The summit was organized in Delhi by the Department of Biotechnology and International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB).
- The theme of the summit was “Visualizing the Future: New Skylines”.
- The aim of the summit was to boost the participation of women in STEM (Science + Technology + Engineering + Math) fields for development of scientific career.
- Department of Science And Technology (DST) initiated DISHA Programme for Women in Science and later restructured the women specific programmes under one umbrella called “KIRAN (Knowledge Involvement in Research Advancement through Nurturing)”.
