India’s Africa Outreach
- India has inaugurated first ever convention centre made by it in Africa.
- The Mahatma Gandhi International Convention Centre (MGICC) in Western African state of Niger (at Niamey) as part of its outreach to the continent.
- India, for the first time as part of its capacity building outreach for the developing world, has embarked on a unique initiative to build convention centres across 21 African countries.
