Know Your Medicine
- On 11th April, 2019, Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) directed drug manufacturers, to mention in leaflets inserted into drug packets or on promotional literature, information about the adverse reactions of seven medicines and to ensure that this information be made available to the general public.
- CDSCO took this step on the basis of report by the National Co-ordination Centre of the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) regarding the adverse reactions being reported from some commonly-used antibiotics.

- All of the seven formulations —Cefotaxime, Ofloxacin and Cefixime; Tranexamic Acid, Quetiapine; Sulfasalazine andSodium Valproate , have been instructed to warn patients ....
