Winter-grade Diesel from IOC
- The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has launched a special winter-grade diesel for Ladakh that can withstand extremely low temperatures and help motorists. In Ladakh temperature in winters remain between -50 C to -250 C, making it an ideal to witness cold desert climate.
- Regular diesel fuel contains paraffin wax which thickens in low temperatures and hinders the flow of the fuel in the engine of vehicle.
- The winter-grade diesel has a low pour point (the temperature below which the liquid loses its flow characteristics) of -33° Celsius making it capable of withstanding the extreme winter weather conditions in ....
