Aerosols in Indo-Gangetic Plain Enhanced High Rainfall Near the Himalayan Foothills
- A team of researchers from NIT Rourkela, Leipzig Institute for Meteorology, Germany, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur supported by the Department of Science & Technology (India) under DST Climate Change program have highlighted the crucial role of the aerosols like black carbon and dust, in increasing the incidents of high rainfall events in the foothills of the Himalayan Region.
