- According to a recent RBI report on ‘Trend and Progress of Banking in India 2018-19’, the green finance development faces many challenges, such as “greenwashing” /false claims of environmental compliance, plurality of green loan definitions, and mismatches of maturity between long-term green investment & relatively short-term interests of investors.
