After the successful launch of Green Term-Ahead Market (GTAM) in August 2020, the government, on 25th October, 2021, launched the Green Day Ahead Market (GDAM) in a move towards mainstreaming of green energy as the country eyes a record 450 GW (gigawatts) of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
- India is the only large electricity market in the world to implement a Green Day Ahead Market (GDAM) exclusively for renewable energy.
