Cabinet Approves STARS Project to Strengthen School Education System
The Union Cabinet recently approved the STARS project under the New Education Policy to support states in strengthening the school education system with a total project cost of Rs 5718 crore with World Bank support amounting to approximately Rs. 3700 crore.
STARS Project
- Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States (STARS) project is a centrally sponsored project which will be implemented by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education.
- It will cover six states namely Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Odisha.
