World Food Prize
- Indian-American Soil scientist, Dr. Rattan Lal received the 2020 World Food Prize for developing and mainstreaming a soil centric approach to increase food production that conserves natural resources and mitigates climate change.
- The World Food Prize was created by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Norman Borlaug in 1986 to recognise scientists and others who have improved the quality and availability of food.
