CWCM: First dedicated Wetland Conservation and Management Centre
On 2nd February 2021 the Union government has announced on the occasion of the World Wetland Day and as a part of its commitment towards conservation, restoration and management of India’s wetlands, the establishment of Centre for Wetland Conservation and Management (CWCM).
- It has been set up under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, at the National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) in Chennai and will work as a dedicated Centre for Wetland Conservation and Management.
