Lisbon City Key

On 7th April 2025, Indian President Droupadi Murmu was conferred the prestigious Key to the City of Lisbon, recognizing her visit and the growing ties between India and Portugal.

While accepting the honour, the President acknowledged the vibrant Indian community in Portugal, noting that it forms the fourth-largest foreign community in the country.
The President highlighted the shared civilisational values and the presence of Indian art forms like yoga as enduring symbols of Indo-Portuguese cultural exchange.
