NIA Records 100% Conviction Rate in 2024

On 31st December, 2024, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) announced that it has achieved a historic 100% conviction rate in 2024, securing the conviction of 68 accused across 25 high-profile cases.

The NIA arrested 210 accused individuals across 80 cases, with Left Wing Extremism and North East insurgency topping the list, accounting for 28 and 18 cases, respectively.
The agency's efforts also targeted terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, with seven cases, and included six cases involving explosive substances, as well as five related to human trafficking.
Additional cases involved terrorism linked to Khalistan, ISIS, gangsters, cyber terrorism, counterfeit currency, and other criminal categories.
In addition to the 68 convictions, NIA registered charges against 408 accused individuals, underscoring the agency’s efficient legal strategies.
The agency's rigorous investigations and meticulous legal strategies were credited for this landmark success in securing convictions and bringing criminals to justice.
