On 21st August, 2024, Ronak Dahiya secured a bronze medal in the U17 World Wrestling Championship, while three Indian women wrestlers advanced to the semifinals in their respective categories.

  • Ronak Dahiya claimed India’s first medal of the championship by defeating Turkey’s Emrullah Capkan 6-1 in the 110kg Greco-Roman bronze medal play-off.
  • Despite his strong performance, Ronak lost in the semifinals to Hungary’s Zoltan Czako, who later earned the silver medal.
  • Aditi Kumari impressed in the 43kg category, defeating Ukraine's Karolina Shperyk 10-0 and Egypt's Marriem Mohamed Abdelaal 4-2 to reach the semifinals against Aleksandra Berezovskaia.
  • In the 57kg category, Neha advanced to the semifinals without conceding a single point, defeating Greece’s Mairi Mani and Georgia’s Miranda Kapanadze. She will face Kazakhstan's Anna Stratan next.
