Announced in Budget 2017-18, Mahila Shakti Kendras are meant to provide “one stop convergent support services for empowering rural women with opportunities for skill development, employment, digital literacy, health and nutrition”.
MSK has been envisaged to build upon by leveraging available resources of variety of schemes/programmes of the government at the district/block level. Student volunteers will cater to awareness about government schemes/ programs, training and capacity building for empowerment of rural women through block level intervention.
