India-Mauritius: EAM Visit Reinforces Ties
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar visited Mauritius from 16th-17th July, 2024, marking his first visit in the current term, to further strengthen the special relationship between the two nations.
- The visit followed the recent visit of Prime Minister of Mauritius to India for the swearing-in ceremony of Indian Prime Minister, underscoring the close political engagement between the two countries.
- The EAM held extensive discussions with Mauritius Prime Minister, covering the full spectrum of bilateral relations, including development cooperation, defence, maritime security, economic ties, and cultural exchanges.
