Mahabalipuram and Shore Temple

Recently, the Historic Shore Temple and five rathas in Tamil Nadu’s Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram) hosted a summit between Chinese President and Prime Minister of India.

Architecture at Mahabalipuram

Mamallapuram was the ancient port city under Pallava dynasty in Tamil Nadu which consisted of number of architectural masterpieces. These seventh century Pallava sites have been declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984 by the name “Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram” which includes:
