Review of the NBFC Sector
On 20th September, 2024, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) published a review of the Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFC) sector under the title - Peeling the Layers: A Review of the NBFC Sector in Recent Times.
- It highlights the continued resilience of the Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) sector under the Scale-Based Regulation (SBR) framework, introduced in October 2022.

- Robust Growth: During 2022-23, non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs) exhibited robust balance sheet growth, accompanied by improved asset quality and enhanced capital buffers.
