DART Spacecraft Successfully Crashes into Asteroid Dimorphos

Recently, NASA's Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) spacecraft successfully crashed into a distant asteroid Dimorphos at hypersonic speed in a test of the world's first planetary defence system.
