National Food Security Act (NFSA)
- Under this act subsidized food grains are provided to 50% of urban and 75% of rural population.
- Free food grains are being provided to NFSA beneficiaries as per their eligibility from January 1, 2023.
- On the basis of Household Consumption Expenditure survey of NSSO, NITI Aayog has determined the State-wise coverage under NFSA.
