Immunization to All (Universal Immunization)
Coverage: As per NFHS-5, full immunization drive among children aged 12-23 months has recorded substantial improvement from 62% to 76% at all-India level.
- As per UNICEF, over nine million immunization sessions are held across India every year towards full immunization coverage.
States’ Performance: 11 out of 14 States/UTs has more than three-fourth of children aged 12-23 months with fully immunization and it is highest (90%) for Odisha.
Schemes & Programs
Mission Indradhanush: It was launched in December 2014 and aims at increasing the full immunization coverage to children to 90%.
