India Young Water Professional Programme
On 29th November, 2021, the first edition of the India Young Water Professional Programme was launched virtually by the Ministry of Jal Shakti. Based on the success of this edition, a second phase of the programme will be planned in the latter half of 2022.
Launch
The programme has been taken up under National Hydrology Project (a central scheme of Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation) and supported by the Australian Water Partnership.
- Background: The seeds for this programme were sown during a co-design workshop with National Hydrology Project (NHP) on ‘Sustainable Water Management’ in November 2019.
