Procedure for Declaring ESZ
- A specialized committee comprising wildlife experts, ecologists, revenue department officials, and local administration representatives conducts a comprehensive assessment of activities in proximity to protected areas.
- The committee meticulously examines land usage, diverse activities, and industrial operations surrounding these protected zones and wildlife corridors. Based on their findings, they compile an exhaustive audit report.
- Following this assessment, the Chief Wildlife Warden classifies identified activities into distinct categories: prohibited, restricted, or permissible.
- The committee's comprehensive recommendations are then forwarded to the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change for thorough review, processing, and subsequent issuance of notifications for implementation.
