​Spadex Mission: India’s New Leap in Space Exploration

  • Spadex (Space Docking Experiment) Mission was successfully launched by ISRO from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, on December 30, 2024, using the PSLV-C60 rocket.
  • Under the Spadex Mission, two small spacecraft, Changer (Spadex-A) and Target (Spadex-B), each weighing approximately 220 kg, were placed in low Earth orbit (LEO) at an altitude of 470 km above Earth.
  • The objective of these spacecraft is to dock (connect) and undock (separate) in space.
