Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS)

EMRS started in the year 1997-98 to impart quality education to ST children in remote areas in order to enable them to avail of opportunities in high and professional educational courses and get employment in various sectors.

  • Most recently, the guidelines for EMRS Scheme was revised in November 2020.

Vision/Objectives

  • Establishing quality residential schools for the promotion of education and also to ensure all round development of tribal students in all areas, habitations and diversified environment throughout the country, the Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS)
