Ayushman Sahakar Scheme

  • Ayushman Sahakar scheme was launched by Prime Minister of India on 15th August 2020.
  • Ayushman Sahakar is a unique scheme to assist cooperatives play an important role in creation of healthcare infrastructure in the country.
  • It has been formulated by the apex autonomous development finance institution under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC).

Why Introduced?

To renovate the outdated healthcare infrastructure in rural areas by empowering co-operative societies.
