Pradhan Mantri Laghu VyapariYojana
- On 22 July 2019, Ministry of Labour and Employment notified the Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyapari Yojana, a pension scheme for retailers and traders. The scheme is an extension of the PM Shram Yogi Maan-dhan Yojana. It will make all beneficiaries eligible for a monthly pension of Rs 3000 after the age of 60 at a miniscule monthly contribution. The government will make a matching contribution in the subscribers’ account.
- The provisions of this scheme shall apply to the laghu vyaparis, who are self- employed and working as shop owners, retail traders, rice mill owners, oil mill owners, workshop owners, commission agents, ....
