Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules 2011

  • Considering the present pandemic situation of COVID-19 and for meeting the demand of medical devices, government has permitted the importers of medical devices to import the following categories medical devices for three months from 28.04.2021 onwards.
  • The Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011, make it mandatory to get the approvals prior to the import.
