Bumrah, Mandhana Named Wisden's Leading Cricketers of 2024

On 22nd April 2025, Jasprit Bumrah and Smriti Mandhana were honored as Wisden’s leading cricketers of 2024 for their standout performances across formats.

Jasprit Bumrah earned the top men’s honour after a phenomenal year where he was instrumental in India’s T20 World Cup win in the West Indies.
Wisden praised Bumrah’s dominance, calling him the key factor in India’s cricketing success and the best all-format bowler of his era.
Smriti Mandhana clinched the women’s honour with five centuries in 2024, four of which came in ODIs, showcasing her consistency and class.
Mandhana also led Royal Challengers Bengaluru to their maiden Women’s Premier League title, enhancing her leadership credentials.
West Indies' Nicholas Pooran was named the ‘Leading T20 Player in the World’ for his explosive performances in the shortest format.
England’s Gus Atkinson, Jamie Smith, Sophie Ecclestone, Liam Dawson, and Dan Worrall were recognized as Wisden’s five Cricketers of the Year.
